Basalt tiles

This kind of pavement is made by melting of natural basalt and its casting into metal moulds.

The paving tiles cast by this manner feature excellent properties, due to which they are used in industrial operations exposed to mechanical and/or chemical loads. They are also often used due to their attractive and uncommon appearance.

This range covers tiles with smooth or anti-slipping surface, coved tiles, so-called L-pieces, and many atypical shape tiles.

The colour of the basalt pavement is determined by the natural material and can not be changed or painted.

Each basalt tile is an original itself. That is why the floors made from our tiles are non-repeatable and unique.

The pavements are sorted over as follows:

  1. INDUSTRIAL Resistance and Durability
  2. INTERIOR Beauty and Uncommon Appearance
  3. ANTISLIPPING Functionality and Serviceability
  4. VARIABLE Original Sets and Personal Character
  5. ATYPICAL The unknown basalt pavement
Types of tile back sides rasters

Basalt tiles are produced with three basic types of back side:

  • With rough grooving so-called rough raster, marking = R
  • With fine grooving so-called fine raster, marking = JR
  • Without raster so-called smooth tiles, marking = H

R The tiles with rough raster are used for laying into bed from wet concrete mix, or it may be glued by binding material similarly to ceramic tiles onto prepared, properly cleaned, matured and compact concrete bed.

JR The tiles with fine raster are used for gluing by binding material similarly to ceramic tiles onto prepared, properly cleaned, matured and compact concrete bed. The use of this raster is also advantageous for special adhesives and binders, e.g. in chemical operations, regarding the decreased consumption of adhesive.

H The smooth tiles are very rarely used, mainly for special purposes, where extreme minimum thickness and minimum consumption of the adhesive is required. Generally, tiles with R and JR grooving are most often produced.

R type rough grooving JR type fine grooving

Cast basalt tiles are used for flooring and pavement in metallurgical plants, textile factories, garages, warehouses, chemical plants, dispatching premises, in the light industry, dairies, bakeries, refrigeration warehouses, stables.

This kind of tiles is suitable for the interior and exterior in the house and the garden, not only making their appearance unique, but even saving your time and efforts with its easy maintenance as well. The pavement is resistant to chemical agents used for cleaning in households and industry.
